Energy EmPOWERed.
You've spoken to the best and some not so good. But you still haven't seen the savings or value you deserve. Our members have the opportunity to have local, most reputable and innovative installer partners bid on your solar project. Just supply us with the best proposal you have you and we will beat any installers cost without squandering quality.
SCCEC Price-Guarantee informs authorized installer that a member is looking to install a solar system and encourages them to make their best effort. This RFQ (Request For Quote) allows different contractors to provide a quotation, among which the best will be selected. It also makes the potential for competitive bidding a lot higher, since the installers could be quite certain that they are not the only ones bidding for the products. Essentially, we've created a "virtual sand box" of local solar installers who compete in giving you the savings, quality and value you deserve.
RFQ Advantages
In principle, an RFQ:
Informs installers that an member is looking to procure and encourages them to make their best effort.
Alerts installers that the selection process is competitive.
Allows for wide distribution and response.
Ensures that installers respond factually to the identified requirements.
Will follow a structured evaluation and selection procedure, so that SCCEP can demonstrate impartiality - a crucial factor in Solar Price Guarantee.

Grid-tied, Virtually Off-Grid or Off-Grid
The sun shines on the solar panels generating DC electricity. The DC electricity is fed into a solar inverter that converts it to AC electricity, which can be used to power appliances in your home.
Solar options for homeowners in the Palmetto State...
Grid-tied?
When a grid connected net metering system is producing more power than is being consumed, the surplus is fed into the main power grid. In the Palmetto State meters the electricity fed into the grid by your system and provides a credit on your bill. At night your power is supplied by the main power grid as usual.
Net metering opportunity is limited and does expire!
Virtually Off-grid?
If net metering is not an option, homeowners looking to go solar can go Virtually Off-Grid; install a solar curtailment or self consumption system. These systems are still connected to the utility grid, but will not back feed any energy. Self-consumption or backup power systems store excess energy in batteries for night time use. A curtailment system will adjust your solar production to match your energy consumption so there is no excess energy being created. When solar energy is not available, power is supplied from the main power grid.
Off the Grid?
Say goodbye to electricity bills forever by going off grid. Solar energy will power your appliances and recharge your batteries each day. At night your energy will come from your batteries.
where can my solar panels be installed?
Anywhere there is clear access to sunlight. Roof-top, ground mounts, solar porches and carports are all options. SCCEC can custom design a system that works with your home and aesthetic.
